The Hulmeville Freedom is a U11 Premier level travel soccer team from Bucks County, PA. We were formed in October 2012 as an in-house select team and went on to win the Roger Erb Select Tourney (Mon U), the SISL’R Slam (Souderton), the Langhorne Select Tourney, and the John Hess Memorial Tourney (HSC) without conceding a goal. We finished the select tournament season with 14 wins, 0 losses, and 1 tie.
2013 – During the spring of 2013 we competed mainly against older teams and compiled a 7-4-2 record. For the Fall 2013 season we competed in Division 1 Inter-County Soccer League. We placed 3rd with a record of 7-3-0.
2014 – We started 2014 by winning the SMG U9/U10 Gold Division Indoor Championship, the Washington Township Easter Classic Championship and made it to the finals in both the Ukrainian Nationals Memorial day Tournament and The “EPYSA State Cup“. We then took 1st place in the Rock Spring League D1 with a record of 6-0-1. To finish out our U9 season, the girls played in Beach Blast and took 1st and 2nd in their brackets.
Kicking off our U10 Season we made it to the finals in Three Premier tournaments. The Battle At Hilltop, Philadelphia Soccer Premier Invitational and Ukrainian Nationals Columbus day tournament. In the fall we competed in two leagues PAGS D1 and Inter-County D1. We placed 1st in Inter-County finishing with a record of 7-0-3 and only giving up 2 goals the whole season. We took 3rd in PAGS D1 with a record of 7-2 allowing only 5 goals.
2015- Started 2015 off slow with three tournaments canceled due to weather. Played in the Jefferson cup in Virginia and made it to the Semi-Finals before losing to the eventual Champions from Ohio. We then played in the Washington Twp Easter Classic, which we won all three games to win the Championship. We competed in the U10 “A” Division EPYSA State Cups and won 2 games and tied 1. Unfortunetly we did not move out of the group phase due to tie-breaker rules. In May, we were champions of the “March Into Cups” Tournament going 3-0 and winning the finals 8-0. We also played up in age at U11 in the Rock Spring League. We finished the spring league in first place winning all 7 games played. We scored 26 goals and gave up 0. We competed in Beach Blast (Wildwood NJ) in June and both teams made it to the finals in their respective brackets.
U11 – We started our U11 season by winning the CRUSA/FC Bucks Invitational playing up in age at U12. We then went on to play in The Lou Ramos Classic, were we won all 4 games played to win the Championship. Battle at Hilltop tournament was next and we made it to the finals and lost 2-1 to the current PA state champions after tying them 3-3 the day before. We then participated in the Spirit United Kick-off Classic where we took first in our bracket to make it to the Semi-Finals before losing 3-1. Recently we played in the EDP Challenge Cup in NJ. We took second place in our bracket and won the third place match and finshed with a 2-1-1 record for the tournament. For the fall we competed in the top division in PAGS and playing up in age in U12 Elite division in Inter-County. We took 2nd place in both leagues.
2016 - Started 2016 by winning the U11/U12 SMG Indoor championship (Session 1 and Session 2). Going undefeated in indoor league play. We then won the Europa Turf Cup Championship going 4-0 without conceding a goal throughout the tournament. In March we went to the Jefferson cup in Virginia which we played some of the best competition in the country. We made it to the finals where we lost a hard fought game to a team from Ohio. At the beginning of May we were Champions of the EPIC Tournament over Mothers day weekend. We then competed in the Rock Spring league going undefeated to take 1st place. We then enjoyed our time at the beach sending one of our teams to the finals at beachblast. Closing out the summer we competed in the Lou Ramos Classic where we lost in the finals. We also competed in the Ukrainian National Columbus day tournament going undefeated to win the Championship. In the fall we competed in 2 leagues. We took the championship in Inter-County going undefeated giving up only 1 goal all season. In PAGs we made it the the finals and lost taking 2nd. After our seasons we competed in the MAPS Fall Cup going to the finals again and taking 2nd place.
2017 – Played Futsal throughout the winter session at Nazereth Academy High School. Our 04s & 05s competed separately in their own brackets for the presidents day 3v3 tournament in Wayne, PA. Both teams winning their bracket’s Championship. Traveled to Virginia to compete in the prestigious Jefferson cup tournament in March. Freedom went 4-0 not allowing a goal the entire tournament winning the Championship. Freedom then competed in the EPYSA Presidents State Cup where they made it all the way to the finals before losing in a close 2-1 battle that ended in overtime. They will compete in the 2017 EPIC tournament and also EDP Spring Cup before taking a break for the summer.
